Fair Celebrates 150 Years!

Dear Lancaster County 4-H/FFA youth and families,

We are excited for the 150th year of the Lancaster County Fair and Ag Society! It is also the 20th fair at the Lancaster Event Center fairgrounds and 11th year as a “Super Fair!” Your Ag Society has special plans this year — as we keep our traditions going and make our 150th year one to remember, including:

The National High School Finals Rodeo will be held in Lincoln for the first time this year! Approximately 1,700 youth from the USA and 3 countries are competing July 19–25 at the Lancaster Event Center. We invite you to come watch the rodeo and shop & eat at the region’s largest rodeo/equine expo. The Ag Society and Lancaster Event Center staff having been planning since 2017 how to smoothly transition the fairgrounds from the rodeo to the Super Fair within a few days. The rodeo brought investments to the fairgrounds that you’ll notice at the fair this year. A new covered grandstand will enhance the spectator experience for our 3 motorsports events. There will be more overflow parking. If you camp at the fairgrounds, you’ll love having water at your site.

Hope to see you at the Family Fun Volunteer Days on Monday and Tuesday before the fair — come anytime between 4–10 p.m. — as we finish the animal pavilions setup and enjoy some pizza together!

Regards,

Kendra Ronnau, President, Lancaster County Ag Society
