Your Super Fair

When it comes to the best summer fun in Lancaster County, look no further than the Super Fair!

August 2 - 5, 2018

Thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors for making your Lancaster County Super Fair another smash hit.

Going back to our roots….celebrating 144 years & counting!

Well we did some more researching and it appears the Lancaster County Fair is celebrating its 144th year and 17th year at the Lancaster Event Center!  Here’s what’s newsworthy this year:

4-day Fair Format. This year the Ag Society Board decided to act on feedback we’ve had for years from the public, from vendors & from exhibitors that the county fair was just feeling a bit long and not busy enough after 4-H/FFA exhibitors left.  So after eight years of trying a 10-day format since the State Fair left Lincoln in 2010, the board decided to go back to a 4H/FFA traditional county fair format with four very full, busy fun days Thursday, August 2 to Sunday, August 5 this year.

Open Livestock Shows. With 4-H/FFA livestock shows now filling up the Lancaster Event Center’s current barn space during the Super Fair, the Ag Society is taking a break from Open Livestock shows in 2018 and considering if there would be interest in revitalizing the open livestock shows, possibly starting a Lancaster Stock Show at another time of year.  If you have ideas or interest in helping, please contact the Ag Society at This email address is being protected from spambots. New Super Fair Volunteer Fun Days.  County fairs have always counted on their volunteers to make them possible and our fair is no exception! 4-H/FFA exhibitors and their families are invited to participate in the first annual Super Fair Volunteer Fun Days on Monday & Tuesday, July 30th & 31st with signup at Involved.  Jobs are available for all ages, physical abilities & experiences—cleaning, painting, putting up signs, zip-tying stalls, setting up panels—many hands will make light work & we know new friends will be made as well!  All participants will get a limited edition t-shirt & a meal/snacks & beverages with minimum of 4 hour shift.

Your Ag Society.  Please join me in welcoming Jennifer Rawlinson as our newest board member elected in December.  You might have met Jennifer as she has organized Dressage shows at LEC and the Fair for many years.  She brings a marketing and finance background we are happy to have on the board.  We thank Jay Wilkinson for his many years of service on the Ag Society Board and are happy to report he’s agreed to still manage the Livestock Barn during the fair just as we are lucky to have former board member Trudy Pedley co-leading Open Static with our Treasurer, Karen Rutt.

New Attractions.  Don’t miss two new free attractions never before at the Super Fair—one local, one from afar!  From our own Unadilla, welcome the Nowear BMX Stunt Show with pro & amateur riders doing amazing tricks on bikes & fundraising for a local indoor practice facility for our youth.  If you’ve been wanting to help hold an 18 foot, 200 pound Python, then come see Danny Conner’s educational Reptile Adventures show which also may include boas, anacondas, lizards, turtles, vipers and crocodiles.

Thanks for all that everyone does to make the Super Fair so much fun each year—see you all soon!
