Volunteers needed during the fair!

Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals, groups and organizations throughout the 10 days of the Super Fair, July 30th-August 8th  ! Volunteers like you are critical to making each year’s fair a success! Volunteer jobs can be tailored around your interests and and abilities.

Volunteer Roles

  • Animal Pavilion Setup
  • Golf Cart Shuttle Ride Drivers
  • Admission Gate Ticket Takers
  • Parking Lot Attendants
  • Cafe
VOLUNTEER BENEFITS

All volunteers working at least 6 hours receive:

  • Super Fair T-shirt (while supplies last)
  • Unlimited fountain drinks including soda, iced tea, lemonade, ice water
  • Breaks, shade, snacks will be provided as much as possible (depends how busy we are!). 
  • If you need certification of your volunteer hours for school or other organization, we are happy to sign your form for you
  • One (1) meal from any Lancaster Event Center café on the same day with each 6 hour shift
  • Earn fair tickets
Tips: 
  • Volunteers must be 14+ years old
  • Will be provided training, drinks, and shade as possible
  • All volunteers should be prepared to be outside

4 H  FFA  Family Fun Volunteer Days (Pre-fair)

 July 27 & 28, 6-10pm - Join us for as long as you are available within these hours. 

The Lancaster County Ag Society invites 4-H/FFA exhibitors and their families to participate in our annual Super Fair Family Fun Volunteer Days at the Lancaster Event Center. The key to success of any county fair is volunteers and we need your help to get the fairgrounds ready each year. Jobs are available for all ages (5+), physical abilities and experiences. You can count on making new friends and having fun together while making each year’s fair better than ever! Sign up is encouraged by June 1st so we can have jobs ready for you.  

Variety of Jobs:

  • Cleaning

  • Painting

  • Putting up signs

  • Zip-tying stalls

  • Setting up panels

Benefits (min. 4 hour shift)
  • Group meal  each day

  • Water & Powdered Gatoraded

  • Community service and volunteer hours for high school or other organizations available on request

Tips: 
  • Volunteers meet at LEC Business Office located on North side of the Lincoln Room (building closest to 84th street)

  • Parking available in Lot K (gravel lot to the right as you enter Gate 1 off 84th Street), then walk down the little hill to the LEC Business Office

  • Parents/Guardians at least 19 years of age wil be needed to supervise any child volunteers ages 13 or under or with special needs

  • Didn't get signed up in advance? NO PROBLEM, show up and we'll put you to work and get you fed!
