Cowboy Dressage is a new discipline in western riding that takes some of the best principles of classical dressage training and applies them to the traditional training of the western horse. The purpose of Cowboy Dressage is to make Western horses better at their jobs whether they are a ranch horse, trail horse, cutting horse, gaming horse or western pleasure horse.
Soft Feel is the guiding principle of Cowboy Dressage™. Soft feel is not only sending messages but having the sensitivity and awareness to feel and receive the message the horse sends back. It is partnership between horse and rider. In order to create the ultimate horse the rider has to be the ultimate partner for that horse. Always, the try in the horse and the human is honored!
All breeds of horses (and mules!) and people of all ages and all skill levels are welcome. Come watch this exciting new discipline!
