The Lancaster County Agricultural Society (LCAS) is more than just an organization—it’s a passionate group of folks who are dedicated to keeping agriculture thriving, empowering youth, and strengthening our community. Since 1870, we’ve been proudly hosting the Lancaster County Super Fair, bringing people together to celebrate the best of Nebraska!

2024 Hall of Fame Award

Wilma Knippelmeyer

Wilma Knippelmeyer’s dedication to the Lancaster County Fair spans over 50 years, leaving a lasting impact on agriculture and community spirit.

From her beginnings as a young exhibitor to becoming a Master Gardener in 1982, Wilma’s expertise led her to oversee the Horticulture, Farm Products, and Poultry departments. Even as the fair relocated, she remained a steadfast leader, managing multiple departments with enthusiasm—whether tending to poultry or admiring oversized zucchinis. Her passion extends beyond the county, as she now leads the floral department at the Nebraska State Fair.

Today, we proudly induct Wilma into the Hall of Fame, celebrating her lifelong commitment and remarkable contributions.

What is the Lancaster County Ag Society Hall of Fame?

At the 2010 Super Fair, the Lancaster County Agricultural Society unveiled the new Ag Society Hall of Fame located in the Business Center of the Lancaster Event Center. This wall formally recognizes those individuals who have dedicated time and effort to the Lancaster County Agricultural Society beyond the normal volunteer hours and have made significant contributions to the establishment, development, advancement or improvement of the Lancaster County Super Fair!
