Check-In:

Lancaster Room NOT Ag Society Hall (Lincoln Room).

Enter through doors under green awning on the east end of Meeting Center (Doors under Green Awning). Park in Lot B3/B4.

Claim Tickets:

Exhibitors will receive a claim ticket. Due to the value of quilts, you or your designated agent must be present this claim ticket to pick up your quilts. The room will be monitored with security cameras.

NOTE: Quilts and premiums that are not picked up on Sunday will be available for pickup in the Ag Society Hall on Monday’s release time.

 

Special Awards include the following “Best of” Awards:

Best in County: Entered in any class

Reserve Best in County: Entered in any class

Best Star

Best Patriotic

Best Holiday

Best Modern Quilt: Entered in any class

Best Recycled Quilt: Made of reclaimed materials, including jeans and other clothing such as shirts, t-shirts, neckties, etc

Quilt Show Rules

  • A quilt is made of 3 layers, top, batting and back.
  • Quilting must be seen on the back to be judged for a ribbon.
  • All bed quilts must be at least 60” X 76”.
  • Small Quilts must be less than 60” X 76”.
  • Miniature Quilts must be appropriate in pattern and size and not larger than 24″ on any side.
  • Wall Art Quilts/Non-Functional Quilts must be appropriate size to be hung and not intended to be for a bed. Not all quilts will be hung or hung fully open.
  • The public is not allowed to touch exhibits. “White Glove” volunteers will be on hand to oversee the exhibits and assist the public in enjoying the displays.
  • Due care will be exercised in handling each exhibit, but the Lancaster County Agriculture Society, Inc. will not be responsible for items lost, damaged or stolen
  • Please use discretion when entering delicate items.
  • Quilts that are dirty or have animal/pet hair on them will be disqualified.

All Quilt exhibits must be completed within the last 2 years and not previously entered in the Lancaster County Fair.

  • You may enter ONLY ONE EXHIBIT IN EACH CLASS. Enter carefully.
  • One person quilt category means all work is done by one person.
  • Multiple person category means work is done by 2 or more persons.
  • During registration give credit to all persons involved in the creation of your entry by listing their names on the back of the entry tag.
  • Ribbon placing is based on merit at the Judge’s discretion.
  • Superintendent reserves the right to combine classes for judging.
  • Exhibit must merit a ribbon to receive a ribbon.
  • Not all ribbons will be awarded.
